This is a TV picture book from Kodansha’s “Tanoshii Youchien” program, “Grendizer vs. Great Mazinger.”

It is a picture book of “UFO Robot Grendizer vs. Great Mazinger,” which was shown at the “Toei Manga Festival” during spring break in 1976.

Since it is a picture book for young children, the story is abbreviated in many ways, but the basic story is the same as the movie:

Great Mazinger is stolen by Barendos, the captain of the Vega Star Alliance’s guard, and fights against Grendizer. After that, Koji Kabuto pilots the recaptured Great Mazinger and fights alongside Grendizer. The disk beasts Jinjin and Gubi-Gubi appear, but the Core Core does not.
